Vegan Big Mac: Positivitea Review!

Hi Internet, it’s me.

Today, I have a really interesting review for you guys. Now who doesn’t love a good burger, right? Too bad you can’t eat them if you decide to go vegan… just kidding. There’s always a vegan option.

I decided to try this restaurant in Verona, NJ after hearing from a friend that they had a burger that they compare to a Big Mac. I was super excited because I had already tried Doomie’s in Los Angeles and they had the absolute best vegan substitutes ever. Their version of a Big Mac was scary because how much it actually tasted like the original. So, my expectations were high for Positivitea.

I will start by saying that the burger did not really taste like a Big Mac and didn’t meet my expectations. That being said, it was still satisfying and I would go back and try more of their other options. The “burger patties” were made from black beans and when you bit into them, they had the consistency of mashed potatoes, which was not what I expected. They also used bread that was not as soft as I would have liked. And last but not least, they didn’t really have enough “Big Mac sauce.” The thing that these burgers from McDonald’s are known for is having that creamy sauce that everyone loves and this vegan option just doesn’t have that, which was a bummer.

With all of that being said, I still enjoyed the burger. I did have very high expectations since I already tasted the Doomie’s version and that version tasted so similar I was shocked that it was actually vegan. Regardless, the “Big Wac” still tasted really good and I want to go back and try their soft serve ice cream and other things from their menu. So to recap: was this burger exactly like a Big Mac? No. Was this burger still pretty good? Yeah. Would I eat it again? Probably.

Hope you enjoyed my little review!

Stay beautiful,
